WHAT DOES A DOULA DO?

 The Greek word doula means "a women who serves". The word Doula is now used to describe a trained and experienced labour companion who provides the woman and her partner with continuous emotional support, physical comfort, and assistance in obtaining information before, during, and just after childbirth. When it comes to a Doula, you can count on her to take care of your needs during Pregnancy, Labour, and into the Postpartum period. You may be wondering "If I hire a Doula do I still need a Midwife or Doctor for the birth of my baby?" And the answer is YES. Doulas are not trained in the medical field and it is beyond their scope of practice to offer any medical advice.  This ensures that your Doula is 100% yours and she will be there for you throughout your labour for emotional support and physical comfort. the how to Newborn session

This session is designed to help you feel comfortable with your new responsibilities as a first time parent. In this session we go over ways to

This session is best done before baby is born but is great for afterwards too!
